Default battery relocation.....kinda confused

hey whats up guys....im relocating my battery to the back this weekend, and i noticed on the write up that hmt turbo did, that after they removed the positive terminal, the fuse box wire, and the starter wire...that i am confused as how they reconnected the starter wire. did they re-crimp something? or did they just run the starter wire to the distribution box? thanks alot

I'm also doing the same thing pretty soon. OK, they removed the old starter wire, positive terminal, fusebox wire because it's going to be replace with new wires.
After removing those wires, they runned one wire from the trunk to the distrubition block on the engine bay. And from the distrubition block they runned 2 8guages wire to the starter and one to the fusebox.

There is also another good write up at http://www.fourthgenhatch.com/battery.html

Hope this helps clarify a little bit

I did this, I just used the starter and fuse box wires that were already there and just put those into the distribution block.

then when I did my b16 swap and it didn't start (after I had the battery in the back for about 6 months) and my dad and his mechanic friend blamed my rear mounted battery for it not starting, saying I had to run a ground wire to the front when my d15 had been running without it all that time and it was cranking fine.

I did this last weekend and I had the same problem with the grong not staying. Sheet medle screws do not work. You have to put a bolt threw then a nut on the other side.

unscrew the clampy thing, put it on the terminal, screw the clampy thing back together. my positive one doesn't fit on all the way so I just do my best.
