balancing the crank?
So im not building a race motor, but I have been reading up on alot of builds and everyone seems to be leaving out the part about balancing the crank rods and pistons. Now I know that honda dose a zero balence so should I just throw the new tt rods in my a6 or should I take everthing to the shop and have it balanced?

Re: balancing the crank?
to balance the bottom end you need the crank/ rods/ pistons/ rings/ bearing/ flywheel/clutch..basiclay everything inside the block that moves. nuts bolts everything.
good luck! |
Re: balancing the crank?
I had my bottom end spin balanced as i felt it was worth it.Def not cheap it was $275 CDN locally for me but you might as well if you have the cash.

Re: balancing the crank?
All depends on how high of an rpm you want to spin. I'm shooting for 10,500 rpm on my ls/vtec, so I'm def. getting the crank and everything else balanced to match. For stock rpms, I wouldn't even worry about it.
