Default Bad traction what can I do?

Well I've boosted my 97 del sol D16Y7, and when I go up passed about 5 psi I begin to experience slipping in first and second gear on dry pavement, and terrible slipping in any weather what so ever. Anyways, I have upgraded my wheels and tires to the Toyo Proxy FZ4's with 15" wheels, but it doesn't seem to make a huge difference there (except I do get slightly better traction). I'm thinking limited slip differential is the next step, but what else can I upgrade to help the traction?

Will stronger struts and springs help it at all? More weight in the front?
Ahh and what is recommended for the D16Y7 as far as LSDs go?

Thanks

Did you upgrade the clutch? Maybe that has something to do with it

No, clutch is still stock. But its when I punch it in first/second that they slip. Like at about 5 grand when the turbo really picks up, that I'll feel the wheels slipping on the road sometimes its really bad to where I have to back off. It's making 'street racing' a bitch.

The cluch would n't do much with traction. He ment wheel to ground slip not engine to transmission. Best bet would be to get the LSD first. Phatom grip and Kaaz are some of the good ones. Stiffer springs and struts would definately help cuz they will push the wheels harder to the ground. Another way to get traction is to slip the clutch a lil. Its all in coordnation with driving. instead of just laying into it hold the throttle and slip the clutch out that way you still hold R's but not spinning the tires. I had 15's on my crx and they just roasted , then bumped up to 17's and they gripped so much harder. Bad traction is one thing but wheel hop is just worst. I you encounter wheel hop tie up the front end. Stiffer springs & shocks, upper and lower tie bars w/ energy susp. bushing. they help out so much to eliminate wheel hop. I hope that helps Good Luck!

if your shocks are blown your not going to be able to get traction either . and springs also help a bit because they keep more weight on the front tires .

I'll have to check again, but its like 240/15 I think (not positive).

I'm getting that nasty wheel hop if the tires get wet at all, so it looks like once I get the electronics for this turbo down its time to stiffen out the suspension heh

Anyone know if 'strut' rods help at all with this? I need an excuse to buy one.
