i was wondering if someoen could tell me why my gears grind going from first to second? it only happens when i shift above 3500 rpm

 

synchro are going out get a new tranny or get it rebuilt

 

how much would new synchros cost, including installation?

 

more than a good used tranny would. Just find another tranny.

 

Yeah, I would just find a junkyard tranny (thats still decent) and drop that one in. I used to work at a tranny shop, and I know it would be more costly to repair the one you have, than to just replace the tranny with a used one.
