its a cable tranny not hydro...and you can put CRV rods and pistons in that block and then put a VTEC head on it...its a good setup then...but as is the motor pretty much sux...build it like you would a CR-VTEC motor...

"Check out http://www.preludepower.com/ There's a couple of people who've swapped in a 5speed and over 20 that are about to be getting the turbo manifolds from the two group buys there. "

Man thanks alot that is a good furom

you guy's......
There is something that is funny with that B20A5....
The mechanic that overhualed that engine didnt know that was the prelude engine in fact he thought it was a v-tech acura integra engine..... How he thought this is cuz he doesnt know honda's and when he went to buy new things for it the people told him it was a Integra engine so supposidly that car has integra crap inside it. Is that even possible?? The Mechanic is my sis B/f the car was his, He isnt trying to rip me off or anything but jeez it sounds like such Bs!

Well it is a Bseries so some things will swap. just not as interchangable as its brothers. The A5 gets ripped on all the time. Dont sweat it, boost it. The way those sit at a slant in the bay, there is a ton of room to work with.
As far as auto to manual...wow, if you find a decent write up and you like to make stuff work....go for it. I'd personaly sell it and get a manual. Faster and the $$$$ might wash.

I thought the b20a5 was incompatable with otehr b-series parts? I am pretty sure the intake manifold doesn't line up with any other b-series head...

Correct-0 As far as the B-20a's and b-21's we don't got nothing interchangeble almost. H-23 rods do work though.

And about that auto-> manual conversion it's been done before to quite a few 3g's and i myself will be attempting it as soon as i leave home

your right...my bad...its the H23 Rods with ITR pistons and an ITR head and CTR cams cause there more aggressive with the ITR intake manifold...might even have to use the ITR exhaust manifold too...but either way...thats one hell of a setup there...ive heard of people doing that...and they thrown down around 200whp....ive been thinking bout gettin another 3rd gen lude and doing that cause i can get the whole car in good condition for a thousand with the motor. but i would have to wait til after summer for that

i forgot to mention you can use all of the F22 series rods...but what would be stronger...the F22 or H23 rods...i would think the H23's would be, i would rather use the stronger rod so i could boost it more.

oh most definently... how many people can go around saying they converted an automatic car to a manual transmission?

I say its a ------- accomplishment to be proud of if you can do it
