Re:B20a5
there use to be this guy that claimed to have a B16 or a GSR motor in his Prelude...sure its possible...
damn place racing is gay, that website had been under construction for 2 years +... turbo? of course you can turbo a B20A5...this guy has make kits in the past...even put a VTEC head on one... |
Re:B20a5
My friend got his 89 prelude for 50 bucks. Defintely H22 over that b20a5. I would probably get easier car to work with from the start though. Maybe something with more product support?

Re:B20a5
I did a little research today and i found out the sizes of several engines (in standard).
H22a - 114 Cubic inches B18c1 - 110 Cubic inches B16a2 - 97 Cubic inches B20a5 - 119 Cubic inches Anyways, what i was proposing is either doing an engine swap or modifying what i have. Now the goal here is to turbo my car so i am debating in my car best intrest. According to Onyx the b20a5 has to long of a stroke (95mm to be exact). So since displacement depends on the bore of the cylinders and the stroke and well i cant really modify the size of the stroke i was thinking of getting the thing re-bored for larger cylinders. What do you guys think? |
Re:B20a5
Just turbo it the way it is.. and if you blow it up put it something better, because those a5's are junk IMO. I honestly wouldnt rebuild it or anything like that.

Re:B20a5
oops the h22a is 132 Cubic inches

Re:B20a5
The B20 you have is not fuel injected or the car you have isnt?
if its carb'd you may want to start over from square 1. Lots of ---- needs to be done to convert to Fuel injection. Jeff |
