well, ive never seen a b18b head/cams. but the b20z head had way bigger intake ports, same exhaust ports though. and had a cam with more lift, unless the base circle is different which i doubt. the b20z intake manifold had a lot bigger runners than my b18a1 did.

The b20b intake cam has less lift than the b18b/b20z, so u will be loosing power.
no one said anything about the old crv engine b20b, 126hp. we're talking about the b20z, 146hp

so i guess is used2b is talking about a b18b, whihc i've never seen. so i guess we will have to trust the guy with the stock civic with the spoon sports badges

the b20z intake and the b18a1 intake manifolds are pretty different. it is very easy to make work, but there is one extra coolant line. i don't see how that is something to make fun of?

b20b johnny, not b20z intake manifold... the b20z's have the crazy *** intake manifolds, that wont even fit in our cars.

The b20b intake ports are a bit larger than the b18a ports. The castings of both heads are the same however. As far as cam differences, I have no clue. Johnny said it looked like it had more lift, I didnt have the head long enough to make measurements

ah my bad, i thought it was b20z. but the cam was bigger, and the number on the cam was larger if that means anything. you could tell from eye ballin' it that there was more lift. unless the base circle is different which i highly doubt.

Aaaaah Jeff! That's disappointing! No measurements before getting rid of it?! Just kiddin' man. So will a B20Z cam fit a B18A as the castings are the same(so I'm told)? Anybody know this?

Also used2baracer, if the B20b cam has less lift than the B20Z then why you putting the B20b in your Civic? Are you using the B20Z cam?

U hit the nail on the head.... i will be using b18b cams... i will end up having a spare b18b head, so i don't know if I'll stick the cam in the b20b head or port/pollish the b18b head and slap it on the b20 block.

Or you could just send the extra head my way. I'll find a use for it.
