Default B18B tranny problem

My friend has a 2000 Integra Auto. Well, we were riding in his car to the muffler shop. When his car stops accelerating and the D4 starts to blink. My friend looks at me and says "My car does not want to go anymore". So we coast it as far as we could to get off the road. I checked the tranny oil: had plenty. What does it mean when D4 is blinking? What could it be?

PS- The car only runs in 1st.

Not sure if you would have noticed, but is the speedometer still working?
---I dont know about in all hondas but most automatics wil not shift out of first if the speed spensor goes out. Checkck tranny fluid as well....

Also is the check engine light on?

Also I have seen this happen when the tranny over heats...did this go away? Or is the car stuck in 1st and reverse?

The speedometer still works.
Has plenty tranny oil.
D4 starts blinking as soon as you turn the car on.
Yes the Check engine light is on

What could it be?

PS- Someone told me that the shift silinoids might be the problem.
