B18a1 into 89 CRX HF Newb Questions
Ok, I have a few questions about the swap..
First I need to know if these mounts look right...this is my first swap and these came with the car.
I also don't understand how the L shaped one works and where it goes.
I also need to know what bolts here on the back of the block. Is it the alternator?
And here on the front
And finally where is the best place to buy bolts for the mounts, bolting the trans to the engine, and everything else. The big problem is I don't know what size to buy for any of them because none came with anything.
Thanks

ok first off, what year car are we talking about if its an ef(88-91 civic/crx) then those mounts do look correct except the L-one. the picture of the rear of the block is bolt locations for the half-shaft which you need btw. the front is for a power steering pump and ac. if you have neither just remove it. and go to honda for oem bolts that are going to be guaranteed to work.

in that case what he needs is an the rear trans bracket from a 90-93 integra.

I can't tell but the L bracket looks like the DA one so you should be fine, if not they are easy to find...and as stated yea the rest of the mounts look to be correct...
The 3 bolt holes on the back left shaped like a sideways V are for the lower alt bracket the other 3 to the right shaped like a sideways L are for the midshaft...on the front is the AC and PS as stayed about, just remove them they are unneeded...hit up a junkyard for the bolts cheaper then dealer prices or look online for someone parting out a motor...
