Nope, red is usually 16.

It should be in between 2 white marks as well though, try holding a piece of sandpaper to the pulley with the engine running, cleans off all the rust and stuff you should be able to see 1 mark, and then 3 marks an inch or so to one side of it.

I would double check cam timing, adjust the valves, do a leak down/compression test. If the engine checks out healthy, start looking at timing maps, maybe it just needs more.

I still say the gurgle is a dump pipe leak, that's what it sounds like anyways.

 

I took my wire brush to the crank gear... and what do you know... Look what i found!!! All Three timing marks!!!

they are SO much easier to see AT NIGHT w/ the timing light on it rather than in the day~

So anyway... i got the dizzy lined perfect... and the car has a bit more power.
BUT THE GURGLE is still there!!!
I know what an open dump tube sound is... but this sound comes WAY before i hit full boost... and its regardless of if i'm boosting or not... its still there at that certian rpm range.

It is possible to be the open dump. I tuned my friend's 93 si hatch, same setup as you at 15psi, and it did kinda have the same sound. Crank the boost if you really want that thing to come alive...you won't be able to keep it in a straight line.
What size spring is in the wg? It could be leaking a little too, but it seems to spool pretty decent if it is.

 

Same WG i've had in my previous setups.. im 99% sure it's not leaking.

I was waiting for my injectors to come to turn the boost up. I just got them today! precision 880cc's !!!

I'm going for the most amount of power my Clutchmasters stage 3 will hold. (110% over stock)... So i'll just have to go up in the psi little by little.
