B16a2 not starting
OK this one has stumped me as to why it isnt starting. this is a B16a2 in a 95 del Sol VTEC with a t3/t4 turbo intercooled, using the MF2 fuel managment (which sucks ***).
Problem started when the plugs/plug wires were changed. It turns over and dumps fuel but i dont have spark
. So far i have changed:
-Ignitor
-Coil
-Fuses
-ECU
-Checked all the grounds in the engine (the one on the tranny, valve cover, and therm housing for the ECU)
-Removed the VAFC (was getting power still when removed so i know the ECU is getting power)
-cap
-rotor
-Timing belt (dead on, did not skip teeth)
-motor turns over fine
-motor has compression of 190 across the board.
-taken the MF2 off to make sure it wasnt it But im not sure if the fuel injectors that came with it are stil bumping fuel or not. it doent seam like they are opening at all.
according to the service manual it should run now but it isnt?! Any ideas would help!

do you know anybody that you can borrow a distributor from? i mean a whole one, not parts of one. once i had problems with my distributor, and kept changing parts on it. didn't work for ----. i used a new one, and never had a problem again. if you can get your hands on one try it. other than that im out of ideas...
ya, switch on a non-vtec b series dizzy and see if that works for you, haha. well your engine doens't run for some unknown reason, and my engine doesn't run becaues my shif linkage isn't connected, my negative battery wire is disconnected at the battery, my positive batery wire is disconnected inside the engine bay, I have no injector wires, the ecu is not hooked up, and I need to switch around some wires. but the good thing is I know what's wrong.
I have a print out of the things I need for the dpfi-mpfi business, could you possibly mail me some ecu pins so I don't have to do the wires all ghetto?
you don't have such great car luck do you? first your car won't pass the non mandatory emissions, now your car won't start. I've had some shitty luck too, my window was broken and my car was broken into, then I can't get my b16 project done because of lack of time and correct parts, and during the b16 project I brake the passenger side window in the truck I'm driving sinec my car is out of commision as I'm rolling it up and it falls off the rollers. We need a vacation
