wtf could be wrong?
im thinking the pressure guage is leaking at 60ish

VTEC no hooked up yet, got a few problems to address.
This is the worst swap I've ever had to do and it still is fucked.
MY B16 in eg problems that make no sense:
1 AVID shift linkage bar too short
rear t mount bolt holes dont line up so had to make it work
leaking water pump
leaking egay fuel rail from ALL the holes(thats a given)
leaking fuel filter
intake cam too long for ls dizzy (washers to make it work)
leaking tranny from the shift linkage bolt hole because ups shipping sux and i had to weld back the piece

I QUIT

How old is the pump? Original one from the motor? It's possible that it's worn out or cracked internally. My b16 usually makes around 82psi at 5500 and holds it steady up to 8k with 5w30.

Even if vtec was hooked up, the ecu wouldn't let it engage until it hits 67psi.

you could have built it a tad to tight

meaning your bearing clearance are a tad to tight

usally to tight of clearances means low oil pressure

to loose means alot of oil pressure

bearing clearances are near the end of the allowable spectrum
definately not too tight
