I have no idea what year it is....all I know is that it says on the engine B16a1 and it has a red valve cover.....

Check above the exhaust ports, the date is stamped there.

I dunno Walter...every dohc vtec I've seen has one.

so its a type R....even for a b16a1...i mean it doesnt look painted on there.....
my friends gotta b16 in his crex, but its a black cover....isnt the b16R like 180 horsepower??
