are u gettin a smokin deal on that b16, cuz you'r going to need a different trans, and that motor is obd0, you will have to convert your car to onbd0 or the motor to obd1. which ever you choose.

For ecu try to get the p30. That's what came in del sol b16. Because its obd 1. Or try to find a cheap p28 and chip it to the b16 specs. Dont get the p73, I believe its for obd2 b18c5 type r motor. For tranny I'm assuming its a cable tranny. If you want to use that then you'll need a conversion kit so you can mate your clutch slave cylinder to the cable tranny. Or try to find a hybro tranny. Just use your stock ex wiring harness and cut and extend. Change the distrbutor, injectors, alternator. You'll see what you have to do when you get started on the swap. It can be cheap swap if you can find parts for cheap and have hook ups. And also if you did everything yourself. But if you dont have those parts like I mention, then things will get expensive.

for ecu...go with either the p30 or p28 ecu...which ever one u want before they'll both work just fine...the only difference is that u'll have to chip the p28 to make it run the b16 motor better.......pick up some obd 1 b series injectors becoz obd 0 injectors doesn't work well with a obd 1 ecu....obd 0 injectors are peak & hold and the obd 0 ecu's are program to work with peak & hold injectors....obd 1 injectors are saturated injectors and the obd 1 ecu's are program to work with it.....but don't get me wrong.....obd 0 injectors will work on a obd 1 car, but i recommend obd 1 injectors for your particular swap..........i know that it works becoz i have a boi that's running 1.8 obd 0 injectors in his 95 ex coupe.....pick up an obd 1 dizzy coz for the same reason, obd 0 dizzy doesn't work well with obd 1 ecu......if ur buying the b16 w/the cable tranny....sell the tranny or trade it....and pick up a hydro tranny from a b16a3(del sols), b16a2(99-00 si coupe), ctr b16b, or a b18c1/c5......they'll work fine...and if ur really on a budgit crisis....pick up a LS b18b tranny if u have to...but don't really recommend it for performance wise becoz of gear ratio.........basically any b series hydro tranny will work.........use ur ex harness.....add and extend neeeded wires for which ever ecu u decide to use.....just remember that every ecu are program to look for certain things....for example...if ur going with a p28 ecu, u'll only feed the ecu the wires it needs and nothing else such as the knock sensor wire..&..etc...becoz the p28 ecu was never program to look for the knock sensor....so that particular wire is not needed if using a p28 ecu....but if ur using something like a gsr ecu for example....u will have to wire the knock sensor becoz the ecu is program to look for the knock sensor.....u get it welp good luck aight........

Canadian EX? Cuz the US Ex has a d16y8, or you are listing the wrong motor. This is very important info. If you have a d16y8 the wiringis much easier.

the US does have the d16y8...but they only come in 96+ civic EX for US tho....and since ur civic is an EX, i've never heard of it ever having a d16y7 becoz the US civic DX from 96+ has that motor...the US civic EX from 92-95 has the d16z6 motor.......when i first read it...i assumed that u put the d16y7 motor in or maybe it came with it.....but i never thought u would say it's a canadian car tho.....but it doesn't really matter wat motor came with the car......everything is still purtie the same.....it's just that u mite have a lilo more work to do that's all.........good luck aight
