b16 in CRX problems

Well I just finished swaping this b16 that i got from hmotorsonline.com into my 90 crx. So we decied to cracnk her up and the dam car starts to idel from 1k to 2k and it keeps doing that. it threw a code on my zdyne i beleave 13 or 14 blinks. So i replaced the IACV and the bitch still ides from 1-2k then we tryed to fix the timing and it kinda helped now it idels form 1- 1.8k. But its still throwing code 13 IACV. Now i didn't bleed the coolant line so im wondering if ther is a connect from the IACV to the coolant line thats making the car throw a Code. I know that if i don'y bleed it it wil idle like ---- but stull 1-2k back in forth then engine light comes on and it throws a code. Also wt f is a BARO sensor. Thx guys

and when you replaced your iacv, you have to make sure that its for the exact exact engine or it will keep havin the same problem.

does it go this all the time or just when its warmed up? when i got my b16 it didnt have an iacv on it. and i didnt put a b16 iacv back on it.i think it was from a 86-89 integra.

FYI, no fluid goes through the IACV. nothing.

I think it might be a vac leak, and I would start at the TB.

did you adjust the adjuster screw on the IACV?

Well it was a vac leak that was making the car idle like that but still now i have a code 14 blinking IACV and my engine light is coming on. I got another IACV but don't no where it came off of since the local tuner shop gave it to me. I think its a obd 1 IACV and that will not work with my pre obd b16 so where can i pick one up off of?? 90-91.5 integra or should my old SI motor IACV fit and can i drive with this problem till i get oney to fix it or will my ---- blow up??

coolant goes through the iacv.

there is no adjuster screw on the iacv, it's on the TB, for base warm idle.

Possible, but you are more than likly not going to get a solid cel from a vac leak.

Wrong, as long as its the same generation, 88-91 uses the long (bigger style) it will be just fine. You can use a 88-91 crx, 88-91 integra too. The newer style 92-00 civic/integra are the shorter style, but they all use the same plug.

FYI, coolant does run through the idle air control valve, lol, there are 2 5/16 nipples on the bottom of it that sense temp of the coolant.

This allen screw is for taking the spring out of the idle air control valve, adjusting it will do nothing. I've had several of these things apart.

Lots of mis-information in here guys.. :-\

What is very common is people mix up the idle air control valve plugs with the intake air temp plugs, make sure you got the right one plugged in. Also you HAVE to bleed the ---- out of the cooling system, especially when you put a new engine in, it takes awhile to get the tstat open and get the coolant flowing all the way back to the iacv so it works properly. If you are certain your valve is bad you can use the one off your SI. Also, some of the 1g B16a's have the FIT valve, this wouldnt cause a code, but they do ---- with your idle.

see that pic above... see the holes on the left hand side. plug 1 at a time and see if the idle changes. (plug it w/ your finger)
