Avid cable/hydro conversion mount fits like crap in my eg - Help
I swapped in a b16 with a s1 cable tranny into my 94 hatch today. I bought the Avid cable to hydro kit on ebay. The cable to hydro adapter seems to work fine but the billet mount does not line up at all.
#1 - minor problem - the underside of the mount had to be ground somewhat to get it to actually sit flat on the tranny bolt bosses.
#2 - major problem - The portion of the mount with the rubber in it (bolt goes through to hold it to the frame) seems to be about 1" too far toward the front of the car - WTF! I am using a stock gsr front and rear mount.
Has anyone else had this problem? I seem to remember reading on here (before the search crashed) someone else had to do some grinding to the underneath of the mount. I need to drive this car on Monday!!

Yes,
It specifically says "92-95 civic" right on the factory sticker on the box - unless the box was packed wrong at the factory? The cable/hydro conversion part fits fine and works fine it is just the mount that is a no-go without serious mods.

No this car was always a standard. I would like to know if anyone has actually used this mount successfully. I think i have figured out the best way to modify it to work. I will call Avid on Monday to see what they will do for me. I sent them an email yesterday and it was returned "undeliverable due to full inbox" That may not be a good sign....

can you show pics of this installed?
I am thinking of doing this also, I 2 options, 1 get the conversion kit, or 2 swap out the internals to a hydrolic housing.
how does this work, I notive the cable tranny is missing the front mount(torque mount) that hydrolic tranny has. how does it stay in place during hard acceleraation? I ran the b16 tranny without it installed and the motor hit the hood.

Yeah cable b-series trannies are cheaper but after the adapter kit you could of just gotten the a hydro tranny and screw doing all this adapter kits. I never got that ----.

Well when alot of people break trans left and right aka 10 sec cars or faster a cable trans for 250-350 is alot more appeling than 650+ for a hydro
A few of the fastest Hondas in the world back in the day ran cable B trans in 92+ cars
