Default Auto to Manual Conversion Q

Okay I have gathered all my parts to do this conversion on my 92 civic d16z6.
The only problem I've run into is the passenger side tranny mount is not compatible with the manual
tranny. So...
I was wondering, instead of buying a 130.00 conversion mount... is it possible...to just modify the current
mounting bracket i.e drilling it to spec and reinforcing somehow. I know its a stupid question but I just have to ask. I'm on a tight budget.

...be gentle...

I would do that but my car is an auto. and the auto mount sits lower so the engine doesn't line up correctly
Any other suggestions guys? I have been looking on Ebay but can only find conversion mounts that
are designated for B series swaps...

Please help me!!!

He means get the transmission bracket off of a manual transmission equipped car, on the 5th gen you might have to re-weld the mount bracket that's on the chassis

Solicit scat **** again and I call BAN.

Yeah I had thought about that but I don't have any means of welding so I would have to have someone do the work for me. So I figured I might as well just buy a conversion mount because it would cost about the same in the end anyways. And the mount would look better IMO.

---- that, someone around you has some flux core action. drill out the spot welds, scuff off the paint where you're gonna weld, get it all lined up, throw a couple sheetmetal screws in to hold it exactly where you want it, and grab a case of beer. Hang around some locals and offer the case of beer for < 2 minutes of welding. $25 max

Or if you have credit and don't mind being an -------, buy a flux-core from a local hardware store, weld up mount yourself after doing above and return the welder to the store. Tell them something like it's not big enough for what you needed. You only have that ---- on your card for less than a day.

Or use your brain and figure out how to rig something up. I remember seeing a picture of some -------rigged mount with a bunch of washers and ---- on it from an auto-manual. don't remember who it was or what type of car it was though.
