Default ASSEMBLING: Eagle Rods - Vitara Pistons Need help, pics n junk

This Sohc engine build of mine will be coming down to the absolute wire because Im probably being scammed out of a block so I wanna get everything I possibly can out of the way. SO my Vitara pistons came in yesterday from FJT  and I want to assemble them onto the rods.

Now the rods I bought were lightly used Eagle H beam(?) rods and since they were used they were once assembled and still had the arrows visible on one side and I just coloured over them again for these pics, there was also a casting arrow on the pistons, I drew over those to enhance it for the pics are well.

I really dont know which way these are supposed to be assembled onto the rods and I dont even have my block here for some directional help so Im hoping you guys can help from my shitty pics (1mp camera lol)

Here they are all dressed and pressed:

Now when I had my SRP's, installing the sprial locks was straight forward cake, was hard as ---- to put them in but it wasnt complicated to install, now the wrist pin locks that these came with are a little weird, is there a special tool to compress them with the to holes or something? I dunno, need a little info thrown here as well, heres a pic of the pistons from side with wrist pins removed and a even shittier pic of the lock lol

Thanks guys

BTW- Heres a little corner shelving unit I built on my day off (today) got it cut assembled and painted in like 4 hours, 4 large *** compartments on the bottom, a nice size bench with a 10" vice and 18 little cubbies on top

Eye spy a large IC, nitrous, 8 pistons, 4 rods, completely built A6 head, MSD ignition, ecus, all my socks n drills n bits n ---- and a partridge in a pear tree.

Thanks

If I remember correctly, the bearing "tangs" (the indentions that the tabs on the rod bearings sit in) should be on the intake side of the motor.
The pistons look like they have different size valve reliefs on each side, so look at your head and whichever valves are bigger, put the bigger valve relief on that side.
On the wristpin locks, get some tweezers or anything that you can use to squeeze those locks together to get them into where they will live.

Oh, and don't do drugs.

The valve reliefs do look a little different as to what the casting looks like on the outside, but the depth and distance both seem to be the same

And the little holes on the wrist pin locks are maybe a bit larger than a pin hole

Thanks for the life management lol

Snap-ring pliers are the tool you need for those. I'd reccomend safety glasses, as if they slip, they can go shooting across the room. Maybe do them in the house, cause if you do them in the garage and they go flying, it may be really hard to find them.

Do the snap rings while working inside a large cardboard box, like for a PC monitor. That way if they fly off, there coming STRAIGHT at you!!!!!!!

Glasses!!!!!!!!

The OEM Vitara pistons use circlips that you pry out with a screw driver. They also have a cursor stamped into them to say which direction they should face in the engine.

If you check the pics, the casting arrows are there I just highlighted em, but someone said on HT about suzuki pistons being backwards from OEM Honda, either way the bigger valve relief on the piston would be going on the intake side of the engine correct? That would never change....

And the tung groove on the rods go on the exhaust side correct?

Thats the way I have them put together right now, but the arrow on the pistons points toward the firewall
