Default Any way to trick a knock sensor?

I just finished my b16a swap in my 89 hatch, and decided to take it for a quick cruise down the road to see if there were any issues before I start driving it steadily again. Sure enough, knock sensor code is popping up. The sensor is intact on the block, and my wiring harness has been converted over to run my pr3 obd0 ecu, so I'm guessing the sensor itself may be bad. The motor runs good, but hits about 5000rpm and just kinda dies off, so I'm guessing it also won't activate vtec because of this code. Is there any way to just trick the ecu into thinking the sensor's there and working? I really don't feel like digging around the back of the block to try and replace it And until I get a burner, I can't even chip the ecu and disable the knock sensor :P

Damn...that sucks. Guess I'll have to drive it mudbutt non-vtec style for a little while then

Just unscrew it from the block and hook it up to the ecu in the cabin.

ah, as in not wired into the harness, gotcha now, still just as easy to wire it to the sensor while in the block rather than pull it from the block and wire it right next to the ecu.

No, the sensor is wired in...it's at pin b19. And it's plugged into the sensor, and the sensor's still in the block. Everything's hooked up correctly, I think the sensor's just bad. :P
