most of the time yeah it'll work, some connections are too corroded or just plain shitty to be resoldered, like one of mine.. i cant get solder to stick to it worth ----, and the new one i bought is the wrong ------ one

yes, intermitent starting problems with lack of power to ecu and fuel pump are text book relay problems from what i've read and am experienceing

im not patient enough to clean this thing to the extent it would have needed to resolder it, there was rust, dirt, corrosion, other types of unidentifiable grime and i dont have the patients to clean it well enough, got a new one today but it was a wrong one, so im canabilizeing it and makeing it work with parts from the old one

thats not what tinning means so i guess you arnt. you dont use the soldering iron to melt hte solder. you use the soldering iron to make what your soldering hot enough to absorb the solder. if you melt the solder with the gun the you get a cold shitty solder. when you tin the solder. the solder sucks into the joint.

if thats all your talking about then yes i was, and it still wasnt "absorbing" the solder, the contact was simply too dirty to allow it, and once i got the relay apart it was so shitty it wouldnt have mattered anyway

and i know how to solder, i do all my wireing work and am aware you want to get the object hot instead of melting the solder onto it

ugh hackn together electrical parts so make one work doesnt seem ideal when u can just pocket a good one from the junk yard? for free and no waste of time
