The set up bone posted with the itb's is the highest d15b non vtec dyno I've seen, thats a staright d15b. You ahve to relaize a cam/valvetrain combo alone for something that has enough lift to make 150 whp is gonna be in the 600.00 range alone. A standard regrind will not have enough lift/duartion to carry the power your lookin for. There is no one formula for all motor. Hence why there are so many grinds of cams out there. A different cylinder head is gonna want a cam etc due to the ability of the head. This is where things get tricky.

Only company that makes rods for the usdm d15b7 is crower and I believe they are in the 600 range


If your serious and want to make 150 whp your lookin at 3000+ for the build. Just reality. A good header alone is 600+.


cam/valvetrain=600
headwork/valve job=1000
block work= 2000 with rods/pistons/machined
500=manifold/throttle body set up
500-800=header


So there it is. Its not a hmt 800 kit. Reason why people really dont build them

Oh and the only person in the world who made 200 whp on an all motor d motor was bisi and maybe the old gude car from 5 or so years ago. And no your not gonna make that. The devlopment and skill of those motors was up there even though gude products suck *** that car did move

well ---- the money isn't that much of an issue. it's time and how much power i CAN make on a d15 or d16...if it'll be hard to hit 200 with a d15 or d16 then i need to set a more realistic goal then. we want the car to be able to beat some of these 'all motor' cars around here with intake/header lol. and we're also thinkin bout puttin nos on it. like inject it right into the runners on the itbs

if you have access to e85 gas i would use it its 105 octane and usually 20 cents cheaper than regular. the guys at turbo mustang seem to like it. this way you can run an even higher compression

if moneys not an issue then go with a deck plate motor thats 78 mm and like 14:1 c/r then port the living ---- out of the head, have a custom cam ground, itb's, and tune that bad boy, you'll get 200 whp

problem with mini-me, the valve notches are in the wrong postion, resulting in smacked valves with a GOOD cam.

But people didn't listen then, smacked valves, ruined heads.......

so what if i built an all motor d15b? or even just a d16y8? not a minime...i just want a semi fast sohc all motor that can run like a mid 8 in a 1/8 of a mile with nos...thats considered fast around here lol

Stock Z6 on ZEX 75 shot will run 8.50



Add LSD, 85 shot, Ford 30# injectors......

damn it man...lol well then if i build with itb's and all i wanna get 8 flats maybe high 7's ...anything done to that z6 at all? and how long did it run on a 75 shot? seems like alot for a honda
