A6 Vitara build

Im new to HMT. But i have a few questions. 1) How do u know how much to notch the block for eagle rods? 2) Does anybody make decent valves or know where to get oem vlaves for a6 head?

Block notching read/look at this http://www.theoldone.com/articles/d_...building_tips/ The valves just find some used ones and then have a valve job done at a local machine shop .

Are there any other D-series valves that will cross match with the a6.

Ok now i have an off the wall question. Which would be funner and cheaper an A6 built and boosted or a b16a stock boosted? Which one would be more dependable cuz i have 2 b16a's and a d16a6.

Shave the head some, but be sure to use an adjustable cam gear to fix your timing later.
