98 ex engine in 89 crx si *new project*
i recently acquired a decent 89 crx si in a trade for some work on a friends other car. the only downfall is that the engine is shot. i have a friends that will sell me his 98 ex (d16y7?) engine for $250. is this worth swapping it into the rex? i have plenty of odb1 z6 parts laying around and i want to convert it to obd1. anyone attempted it? i have not looked into what distributor to use since i know that the 98 motor has the crankangle sensor on the oil pump housing. any ideas or suggestion would be great. this car is gonna basically be just my beater until i finish my other car then it will be the next victim of some boost.
