Have your ecu chipped and remove the rev limiter. Its a classic ricer move :X

yeah that is agood sig line. I needed a new one.

What kinda ricer are you though? pushing it to redline with bone stock vehicle. Who cares how high you can rev. Address the problem when you turbo it or do something that would merit going to 7500

Re: 94 ex redline at 6,500

Usually it's limited to around 6500 when the vehicle is (A) Not fully warmed up yet, or (B) Is throwing a CEL. Even if the car is warmed up, and there are no codes showing, there is a good posibility that something mechanical could be wrong with the car, such as maybe your timing belt jumped a tooth, but i'm pretty sure you'd notice that right away. But if it is a bone stock Z6 motor, it's pretty much pointless to rev it that high anyway. The efficiency of the motor (i.e. powerband) will drop drasticly above the 6500 mark, so trying to get it to 7500 in stock form is like doing speed on a bmx to try and keep up to the guys on the ninja's. ::)

sorry, but revlimter is 7200 rpm when warm.......... I don't give a flying ---- if you factory tach reads 300-400 rpm high!

You need 125 F water temp for VTEC to be allowed to engage.

Next.

7200? Hmm...that makes me wonder...my friend's setup runs a d15b2 with a z6 head and zc slugs on the stock d15 rods...runs a stock p28 ecu and pulls it to 7800 according to his vdo tach ???
