so about 3 months ago my friend drove his crx to athens all the way there it did fine. but on the day he went to leave it just shut off on him never to crank again yet at least.
we have tried a another ecu that we know is good. the main relay is good you can hear the fuel pump prime. there is fire. and there is nothing in the intake trak.

he hanst done a compression test yet but i will get him to. also he checked the timing and he says its dead on. any ideas

 

does the starter engage and rotate the engine?

check for adequate spark

 

yea it turns over and has spark.. also the risistor is fine also.

 

well if you're sure it's getting fuel out the injectors, then the timing is off

 

its not the timing either. he swears it isnt.

basicly car made a 3 hour trip just fine. road around town the next day and just shut off.

injector pulse?
fuel preasure?
Spark at plug(all 4 and check plug gap)?
if fuel and spark is there then timing is off or you have a bad dizzy

 

its got fuel pressure, its got spark. so it could be the dizy even if there is spark? timing isnt off.

 

did u check the plugs?
get a niod light and check for a injector pulse
