Where is the relay on an 88 Civic ? my buddy is stranded on the side of the road and needs to know ASAP.

 

bottom left under the dash, its a black box with letters on it

they go out frequently in our cars i think i need another new one and i just got one a month and a half ago

 

an easy fix for honda relays is to resolder the connections. they tend to crack.

 

and corrode.. and dry up the solder on them breaking the connection... etc

Actually, by me you can't get them at parts stores. Every time I tried to order one, they always sent me the a/c main relay :P After the 3rd time of getting the same wrong relay I called a Honda dealership and they told me $90...so I laughed and learned how to re-solder the old one
