I posted an ad in craigslist locally to see if anyone needed any swaps done or anything. Anyway, this guy said he got quoted 2 grand on his 87 civic TO DO SOME REPAIRS. things like an alternator, axles, tie rods, front exhaust pipe (i dunno if he meant manifold, or cat, or what), brakes, and some other small things (im not sure what else, hes gonna get back to me). I have never seen an 87 civic, so i know nothing about them. Do any of the parts from like, 88-91 work on them? if anyone has one or knows a bunch about them, feel free to send me a pm. Ill do some research too, but i figured i would throw it out there.

im not doing an ls swap... i was just telling u guys thats what i was expecting to do when i placed the ad.

all this guy wants it some parts replaced, but i was wondering if, like, an alternator from an 89 would work on the 87. would the axles work? ---- like that. i feel like in 88 they redid everything. they guy got a quote for 2 grand, so if i could ge the parts cheap, i could make some nice money for myself.

 

don't they make a mount kit to swap b series in them now

i found axles on ebay for 53 each, an alternator for 45 shipped, all for and 84-87. Does anyone know if any other exhaust manifolds will work? I would assume its got rear drum brakes, im having trouble comming up with parts for that. im starting to think that nothing 88+ will work on it.

 

Nothing from the 88-91 crx's or civic's will work except seats. ONLY 88 seats bolt in. Parts from 1G tegs work. Here is a site that is for 84-87 crx's and civic's. Hope it helps
