My dad wants to buy my sisters 86 prelude and turbo it. But From what I have heard the engines suck. Could I build that engine up or should I swap in a different one. What engine should I use if i swap it out? Thanks

 

i say swap it..but thats just me and if u dont have the money than keep it

 

you'd have to do some fabricating i think, haven't heard of mount kits for a 86 prelude, check out hasport to see if they make anything and that should give you a list of engines to choose from. if any.

 

I think I heard something about the axles on that car not fitting other types of tranny's/hubs. Can't remember exactly, but I would say do an HMT with 7 psi.

I figured that. I have never seen a cool 86 prelude.

 

is it an S or an Si? If its an Si its got the A20A3 engine and they arent soo bad to turbo, they have a cast iron block thats indestructable and a closed deck

 

Yeah its the Si. Its quick as it is. Lots of torque.
