I figured some people think the ls vtack which is typically stock ls bottom end should have the rev limiter set to 9200 so i figured the one time trip to really ------- high isnt that bad, but never done that before and it scared me a bit
I dont know if i would rev an lsv to 9200 every day

VX rods do fine at 7500 rpms, until the meet 14:1 compression, we'll see who wins

So Mista, what is it that keeps you out of 1st unless you're almost at a complete stop?

Ya mang. There's no block off for 1st over a certain MPH. How the ---- do you guys expect it knows how fast it is going...?? It would have to be computer controlled and there's no "1st gear blockoff" plug on a manual tranny. :1

However with the 1st gear spining soo fast at 55mph I can see that it would be kind of hard to get into gear. There's no way I could even get my car into 1st gear going 55mph.

I had a friend that did the same thing but from 6th to 3rd in his celica and grenaded everything. Flywheel blew apart, engine grenaded, etc etc.

my friend hit 2nd instead of 4th, and revved out to like 10k. yes it will go over your rev limiter

i had a friend with an old school sentra ser that did he same 5th to 2nd. ended up cracking 2 valves and broke a bunch of rocker arms. just check the whole top end and do a leak down test.
