hell, i had a bimmer once that would die if you took the dipstick out

they all have their quirks

 

The car should stay running until the battery can't support the load anymore. I had that on my last CRX. Lost a belt on the highway coming home one day from work. Thank god it was a fairly new battery or I would of been walking home. Tossed a belt on it and ---- was cherry after that. Drove it for a little bit to charge the battery back up.
