BTW, some (non-Honduh) OEM and a LOT of aftermarket TBs are bad about sticking if the TB isn't brought up to operating temperature.

What is the FIT-V ?? Does that come off the Coolant exit on the top corner of the block? On my block, there is a short 2" hose w/ a plug in it.... There is also another short hose plugged upthat comes off the rear coolant hard line.

I'm confused by your response.... Blocking off the FIT-V (w/e that is) is not required on the b18a1.
If i do NOT block off the FIT-V and leave that coolant line disconnected, i will get 1-3k rpm idle surges?
So what do i do...
Oh, and i don't get why Throttle Bodies would "stick" You mean the butterfly valve inside gets stuck closed or open?

Fast Idle Thermo-Valve aka FIT-V is a coolant temperature controlled valve. When it is cold - which it will always be with coolant hoses disconnected - it bypasses enough air around the TB to create a high cold idle which all Honduhs of the era have.

If the FIT-V never sees hot coolant to cause the valve to shut, once the engine reaches operating temperature the ECU is going to impose a 1300 rpm "idle revlimit" whenever the throttle is closed. The FIT-V is passing enough air to do 3000 rpms, the ECU keeps cutting off fuel pat 1300, your idle sucks and people next to you in traffic look at you like you are a retard revving your engine at them like that. If you have loud exhaust or open downpipe turbo setup you might get a rope and hang yourself from depression before you get the tech support you need to fix the problem from an online forum.

Either unbolt the three 10mm headed bolts that retain the FIT-V to the IM and insert a piece of thin cardboard slathered with RTV silicone sealant, or run the coolant lines they way you are supposed to.

It doesn't ever warm up if you unhook it, so that one might have been blocked off already.

i tore the whole thing apart a while after just unhooking it to make the block off plate and it was all open like it should be. only thing i can think of is that the valve wasnt working properly

It also connects to the TB, the gasket might be blocking it.
