ZEX in HF!!!! poll: how long will it last?
 

its in there, this is not a "what if" thread. the nitrous is already installed. dont tell me im stupid, dont tell me im gonna blow it up. i know. thats the point. i have a complet A6 swap waiting to go in. the question is, how long do i think it will last on the bottle? its getting filled tomorrow morning and ill be spraying all night. wish me luck with it, and ill take pics when it blows. im running a 55 shot, which is almost as much as the motor makes from the factory, damn its gonna blow up, and i CANT WAIT!!!, leave me your feedback i wanna know what u guys think.

dude WTF are you thinking?!?!?!?! you need the 75 jet on that bitch! i was going to do this same thing (TWICE) but both cars had horrible slipping clutches (well they were fine if your not trying to rape and redline a HF), so i never accually did it. anyway if everything is hooked up correctly and ----, i think it will last two bottles, one if you really like to bounce off the revlimiter.... :-*

BOOSTEDBSERIES you will be surprise the beating u can give that lil motor on nos me and my boy put 100 shot on that bitch and the motor lasted 2 months racing it atleast twice a week but we did have proper fuel and and spark also retarded the timing when using it but go ahead a put a bigger shot ill hold be brave and put a 100 ull really feel the nos or wait nawzz when u do 55 shot is week

Believe it or not...

I had a friend TRY his hardest to blow up his A6 in his CRX to drop the B16 in.. He drained the oil, coolant and sprayed a 60 shot, the only thing he did was waste his time. Seriously, nothing happened to that thing.. Good luck on the small little d15!

heres what u do brett...when your in first gear....hit the nitrous button...and redline that bitch to 6 or grand...then keep spraying into second gear and before shifting to 3rd let it go up to 7 grand....and so fourth...sooner or later something is gonna blow...and more likely its not gonna be a rod...its gonna be head components.

wont nitrous melt pistons if you hold the button. Just gett going in 5 gear, and just hold it, and see how fast the hf tranny's are really geared too. lol.

dude its raining right now, and my clutch sucks. but the bottle is full and i just sparayed a couple times, damm, SERIOUS hf wheelspin. its supposed to be nice tomorrow, so we will see, but im gonns spray all night, and btw, purging is cool!! i have it set up to shoot in front of the windshield, and its SOOOOOO much fun. i NEVER knew an HF could be fast, now i know it does. and i have a pic of the motor now, when i blow it up, ill have many many more pics. did i meantion the motor has 203k on it and burns oil anyway? damn this is fun, im going out to spray again, ill be back.

hahah with nitrous that thing is still slow only about 120 hp, thats great.. i would go with a 75 shot, 120% hp increase lol

yeah im gonna see which one of my buddies will let me borrow their cam. im DYING to put footage of my car online. i think im gonna turbo this motor too, cause i dont think the nitrous is gonna kill it, it seems to be running better than ever now, but u know what they say "it will run AWESOME one second and explode the next" damn i want it to blow. btw, the bottle is full i sparayed all day, and its still running great, and i dunno if i said this but the car has about 200k on it.

brett....if you want to blow it up...here is what you do

since you told me on aol instant messanger that the rev limit is 5400 rpms on that thing.....what you do is get into a road at about 75 to 80mph in 5th gear and then hit the nitrous button and down shift the second gear.....god you will see that HF blow more than a 2 cent crack-----. trust me .... it will blow that way, pretty much you need to get that thing to were when you down shift to second gear it will be above 5500 rpms and around 75mph should do the trick.

if its in good working condition, and not running lean on the bottle, and timing is retarded i would say it will last at least 2+ months on a 75 shot

two bottles down, and shes running better than ever. and btw, lewis, ive already done that, zex is to smart for that, it cuts the nitrous flow when the fuel flow stops. im gonna fill it tomorrow, damn this is getting expensive!

i knoe that some of the people on here know me pretty well (lewis, anh, jeff) well at least have talked to me online alot, and u guys know im pretty crazy. well heres one for ya, ive got a d series turbo kit on the way, and i think its gonna go in the hf motor. ive already got my 450s and im gonna use ghettodyne with a 91 si computer. i think the hf is gonne be in the car a little longer, it seeems to be holding up very well, lets see what it can handle!!

I say after you get footage of nawzzzzzz in reverse you get up to 80 and hit 1st gear, even if you're not on the bottle it will blow, won't it?

it wont engage 1st at 80 mph, u have to be in third by then. ---- that, im gonna blow it the old fashioned way, flat out, bouncing off the governor in 5th gear. im going tomorrow at 3 to fill it up.

um... atually, its still the stock hf otor as of now, i figured id list all that was going into the car now before i forget what ive got. and yeah, 5500 rpm rev limit on the stock hf computer. its gay

get a pr4 ECU for it lol and bounce it off the 7k gas cutoff in first gear. dont even shift, just drive it till you get the rev limit on it.:) MOVIES!! WHERE IS OUR MOVIES!>!>

i have a PR4 ecu on mine and it wont let me rev it above 5600 rpms on my HF because the head components wont even move past that point.

Everyone is telling him to hold down the button, but on a ZEX kit, there is no button. It's designed to spray at WOT, when armed, so all you have to do is floor it. Just a heads up for those who weren't on the know. I miss my ZEX kit already. But it went away in search of boost, soon hopefully.

Fuel, ignition, and airflow thru the tiny head ports would keep it from pulling higher in NA form. With the extra oxygen from NAWWZZZ I foresee being able to pull past that.

PR4 + nitrous = quick HF death, probably at low rpm; the ignition maps are way advanced compared to PM8 dump I have. Try PM6 Ghettodyne tune with ignition retarded a couple more degrees, go for the 100 shot and high revs. That should make for some funny ----.

wow, this thread wont die huh? well the crx is dead and the nitrous is out, i threw the A6 motor in it and wrapped it around a tree, long story, not my fault. ill post pics of the wreck soon.
