Let him buy it. Then show him you can do the exact same thing, and do it for free! Although it might be worth it just to check it out. Let him waste his money. Let us know how it is.

It is a resistor that splices into the intake temp sensor. It tricks the ECU into thinking that the intake air is really cold. I would expect 2-3hp.

That's all it is a resistor to fool your sensor into thinking the car is running cooler than it is and it advances your timing a little bit, which can also be done with a 20 cent resistor from radioshack. It doesn't really work, or it might give him 1hp. Tell him to save his money, for real performance. ---- a cheap *** ebay CAI will cost you about the same and give your more. If he doesn't want to go turbo for any reasons, I would just tell him to save his money and get a simple nitrous system, fairly cheap and proven to give you power.

Unless that friend is really you, and there's really not a friend....

LOL, nah, its my cousin Chris, he's trying to hook up his 93 Accord. He's been leaning towards more ricey ---- (body kit, wing, etc) and I'm trying to make him go more performance.

LOL , I was just joking, Yeah there's always going to be too groups, all show, and all go. Some people just want the attention and get the car all flashy and ----, some people want to be fast. And then there's that extrange third group that wants both, power and looks, but they usually start with the looks first, then go for power.
