Rocks Thrown at Border Patrol Chopper
Aug 25 3:31 PM US/Eastern

YUMA, Ariz.

Illegal immigrants threw rocks at a Border Patrol helicopter, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing when one of the rocks damaged the rotor, the agency said.

Neither the pilot nor the Border Patrol observer was injured.

The A-Star helicopter was two miles west of the U.S. Port of Entry in Andrade, Calif., on Tuesday when a group of immigrants began throwing rocks at the aircraft.

One baseball-sized rock gashed the rotor, forcing the pilot to land nearby, said Michael Gramley, spokesman for the Border Patrol sector based in Yuma, Ariz.

Gramley said he did not know how high the helicopter was hovering when it was struck, but he said it was being repaired and is expected back in service soon.

After the incident, 17 people were apprehended for illegally crossing the border, and two of them were being investigated for smuggling. Ten immigrants evaded capture.

The investigation into the rock-throwing was continuing.

Cliff notes:

Illegals attempting to cross the border throw rocks at border patrol helicoptor which has to make an emergency landing, and your tax dollars go to fix it.
Meanwhile, the CA Appropriations Committee passes SB60 to allow illegal immigrants to have the legal right to drive on your roads and carry the same form of identification (with no special markings) that you use to vote, and most other instances where your identification needs to be verified.

One Republican and one Democrat were absent from the vote, while all other Democrats voted yes, and all other Republicans voted no.

Border Troubles Divide U.S., States

WASHINGTON - The decision by the governors of Arizona and New Mexico to declare states of emergency along their troubled borders with Mexico has embarrassed the Department of Homeland Security, which scrambled Wednesday to defend itself from charges that it wasn’t doing enough to combat the crime and violence associated with drug smuggling and illegal immigration.

The unusual action by two Democratic governors and the Bush administration’s response reflected the political tensions that surround the nation’s conflicting attitudes toward border control.

The local response......

Arnold weighs border action

SACRAMENTO - With New Mexico and Arizona declaring a state of emergency over illegal immigration, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday that he’ll monitor the situation and could take similar action if the local problem worsens.

Govs. Bill Richardson of New Mexico and Janet Napolitano of Arizona took action after a series of violent incidents along the U.S.-Mexico border. A state of emergency allows each to dedicate about $1.5 million more to stem illegal immigration.

Schwarzenegger said California would follow suit “if there is a need.”

Vigilante assault on Mexican immigrants kills

A USA masked vigilante with an assault rifle and military fatigues attacked a group of 18 Mexican immigrants on the border near Columbus, New Mexico yesterday. According to a report today by the Attorney General of Chihuahua, Patricia Gonzalez, one or more armed vigilantes, from the US side of the border, stopped a vehicle carrying 18 Mexican immigrants attempting to cross the border near the "Palomas, Chihuahua/Columbus, New Mexico" port of entry. The vigilante in a ski mask forcefully stopped their car and ordered the immigrants out of the vehicle and then proceeded to shoot the driver point blank, killing Apolinar Ortega Sanchez. The murderer who spoke in "broken Spanish" then ran to a vehicle waiting for him and raced to the USA side of the border according to the survivors. Attorney General Patricia Gonzalez is investigating the possibility that the assault was part of the Minutemen operations that took place along the Mexico/Arizona border and that are now moving westward.

The attack by a gringo in military fatigues and with a military assault rifle brings memories of the attack on Mexican women and children by James Oliver Huberty on July 18, 1984 at a McDonald's Restaurant at the SanYsidro/Tijuana border. According to Huberty's wife, the mass anti-Mexican murderer said to her in the morning of the massacre, "Society's had their chance. I'm going hunting. Hunting humans." Huberty open fire on unsuspecting Mexican families killing 22, mostly women and children. The racist Huberty had blamed Mexican immigrants for his inability to get a job. In June, the Minutemen vigilantes are planning to commence anti-Mexican operations in the vicinity of the "McDonald's Massacre".

If the anti-Mexican hate campaign by the English language media continues, we will certainly experienced worse hate crimes against our community. There are many mentally deficient gringos that believe everything they read, view or hear in the printed media, television and hate radio such as Disney owned KABC 790 AM in Los Angeles and they can be easily stirred into a "killing frenzy" by racist propaganda. Presently, Los Angeles commuters are being terrorized by shootings on our freeways and many believe they may be race related. The large percentage of the shootings victims are Latinos, which in LA means most probably Mexicans.

In March 2003 two of Ranch Rescues Minutemen were arrested for
allegedly detaining two Salvadorans and pistol whipping one of them.

On July 23, 2003, Claudine LoMonaco of the Tucson Citizen reported that
"from the start of the fiscal year in October 2002 through Sunday, as
many as 171 people have died in Arizona -- 43 percent more than the
official Border Patrol figure of 119."

Historically, hate groups and other extremist groups have tried to
exploit immigration, legal and illegal, as an issue to gain support and
publicity. Anti-Semite and former Klansman David Duke organized Klan
border patrols in the late 1970's. In the early 1980's, White
supremacist Louis Beam conducted paramilitary activities to intimidate
immigrant Vietnamese fishermen in Texas. Beam, then head of the
Texas Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, urged Klansmen to reclaim their
country “by blood.” More recently, in October 2002, New Jersey white
supremacist radio talk show host Hal Turner encouraged his shortwave
audience to “kill every single one of these invaders.”

Re: Your local California news..........

Violence and Propaganda
Already, in an increasingly charged atmosphere along the U.S.-Mexican border, there has been violence. In the last year three would-be border-crossers have been killed in apparent vigilante violence. One of them was shot from behind after asking a Texas rancher for water; seven others are confirmed wounded. During the same period, several Arizona ranchers made national news by “arresting” at gunpoint illegal aliens who crossed their lands.

To the north, in Bloomington, Minnesota, a Hispanic man was clubbed and critically injured for speaking Spanish at a job site. In Farmingville, New York, two tattooed racists were accused of posing as contractors to lure a pair of undocumented Mexican workers to a warehouse where they were beaten severely.

RENR 08-26-2005 09:10 PM

Re: Your local California news..........

Members of these groups and an Arkansas Klan group have traveled to Arizona to support Roger Barnett, the controversial rancher who has made armed “arrests” of hundreds of illegals crossing his land. Barnett reportedly told a British newspaper that “tracking humans ... is the biggest thrill.”
In October 2000, a group known as Ranch Rescue lent Barnett its support. Ranch Rescue was organized by a Texan named Jack Foote, a conspiracy-oriented anti-immigration activist who has promised to “put a stop to ... mass criminal trespass.” When they arrived, Foote and a few followers spent time helping Barnett fix fences and “patrolling” his ranch.

Foote, who carried a large weapon and binoculars, has made a name for himself as a hard-liner. He reacted furiously, for instance, to e-mail from a Mexican-American who accused him of racism. “You and the vast majority of your fellow dog turds are ignorant, uneducated, and desperate for a life in a decent nation because the one you live in is nothing but a pile of dog ---- made up of millions of worthless little dog turds like yourself,” Foote wrote back.

In December 2000, the antigovernment separatist group known as the Republic of Texas decided to “deploy” its “Texas Defense Forces” to part of the Mexican border to help “in controlling illegal border crossings.”

One woman, the report says, was apparently fired on three times as she crossed a nearby ranch. Nine migrants say they were stopped by a local who fired half a dozen shots at them. A group of 13 claims a rancher’s wife set a German Shepherd on one of them while her husband held the rest at gunpoint. Armed ranchers forced two cars off a public road and held the 16 migrants in them until the Border Patrol showed up.

In incident after incident — 28 in all, just in this small sector of the border over 17 months — angry white ranchers allegedly used weapons and threats, and sometimes violence, to “arrest” illegal aliens

I have a few mexican freinds but their is a difference between mexicans and beaners. Mexicans stole my moms car when she was at church.

Illegals should not have rights in this country. They should go through the imigration process as all other countrys do. why do you think mexico sucks so bad its their selfish attitude. Re: Your local California news..........

Cliffnotes before the story:

Illegal that has been sent back to Mexico 4 PREVIOUS times gets pulled over by Los Angeles County Sherriff David March. The illegal shoots the cop in the face and kills him, then runs back to Mexico. Mexico will not extradite any of thier citizens that face the death penalty or life in prison in the US (no matter what crime they committed). So the illegal lives in harmony with no punishment for killing a US cop. And the US government is too ----- to do anything about it.

Deputy's family awaiting justice

By Ruby Gonzales , Staff Writer

IRWINDALE -- Three years ago today, a traffic stop turned fatal for Deputy David March.

The 33-year-old was shot and killed by the driver, who is believed to have then fled to Mexico. The prime suspect, Armando Garcia, is an undocumented immigrant deported four times before and convicted of selling drugs and possessing a concealed assault weapon. He has an arrest warrant on two attempted murders in Baldwin Park.

To commemorate the anniversary of March's death, a candlelight vigil will be held from 5 to 7 tonight at Irwindale Speedway, 500 Speedway Drive. Sheriff Lee Baca and District Attorney Steve Cooley will be among the speakers.

For the past three years, the March case has highlighted a problem over the extradition treaty between Mexico and the United States. Mexico usually doesn't extradite suspects with ties to its country unless reassured they won't get the death penalty. It also doesn't send back suspects facing life in prison here.

March's isn't the only case in the county affected by the treaty. He is one of several victims featured on a Web site called escapingjustice.com . The site features the fugitives, legislation and what is being done.

So what has been done?

A new law took effect this year allowing California to prosecute fugitives already tried in another country. Local and federal officials have met with their Mexican counterparts in the past three years. And local, state and federal officials have passed resolutions asking the Bush administration to do something about the issue, like renegotiate the treaty with Mexico.

But resolutions aren't laws that call for compliance. They can be ignored.

"There's really no change. Mexico has not backed off. The administration has not pushed the issue. It's still at a standstill,' said Janice Maurizi, a director with the District Attorney's Office.

March's parents, John and Barbara, and his widow, Teri, continue to push the issue to the forefront by speaking at hearings, events and shows.

John and Barbara March were expected to be with the John and Ken radio show at its protest in Washington this week. They had planned to meet with the Fraternal Order of Police as well as politicians.

"We will do everything we can to bring attention to the issue,' John March said. "We think the situation is turning. People are still becoming more and more aware.'

He said political figures are paying attention. John March wants Garcia and other fugitives from justice brought back to the United States to be prosecuted.

"It's hard to say this: Just getting Armando Garcia doesn't do it for me. To me, we have to change the system,' he said.

He has met the people whose cases are featured in the escapingjustice.com site.

"We know all those people now. We've sat with them and cried with them. The pain they're going through years and years after it happened is terrible. Dave's case is getting the attention. They know that because he's a cop. We vowed to them even if we do get Dave's killer, we will not back off until (we) bring all the killers (to justice),' John March said.

As she has done every year, Teri March plans to go to the spot on Live Oak Avenue where her husband was killed.

"I will go to the same window of time, his last moment. I pay tribute. Dave lives in a better place with no worries, no fears. I try to reflect on that and thank him,' she said.

"If I could only have seven years, I would do it again. He gave me a lifetime in seven years. He remains in my heart and thoughts.'

I wonder if my government would brush it off if I went to Mexico and killed one of thier cops. ::)
