nice setup, but I think you should have kept the v8 motor in it. being stationed in Germany its been proven that the v8 bmw have more power and are better that the v12. the v12 just run smoother and more quiet. but its more fun to say I have a v12 bmw or v12 twin turbo.

V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12 V12

You are right, V12 is cooler, but the V8 has a centered Intake manifold, Twin Turbo is a little less natural for this engine ... and the "orange" intake gasket has the bad habbit to blow on the V8 ...
On the V12 M70, each side get a turbo, and all other devices, plus a Cross pipe to make sure the equilibrium of the engine is good.

cool project, I'd run your maf's inline first and see how it runs. I probably would have went with a different set of turbos but I'm sure they will work... I'd assume they would be a touch on the laggy side.

Weld a Vband directly to the housing and you'll be good to go for the downpipes.

Awesome!

You answered my primary question ... Any good provider for this Vband? It is a 3" ..

Re: You want turbo ???? you want Power ?? I give you the V12 Twin Turbo BMW M70

you are going to have to tig the flanges on your turbine housings. i'd recommend using 309L filler for the strongest weld. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

FrancoisP 02-08-2006 10:28 PM

COOL

I like this Forum, really cool information!!!!

Thanks! O0

holy balls that is a fun man project....

how long have you been $ saving?

FrancoisP 02-11-2006 05:22 PM

Collector merger "6 in 1" ... or "3 in 1"

I am not happy of the air flow I am getting with my home made cheap welding solution, I am looking for a two "6 in 1" or 4 "3 in 1" plus 2 "2 in 1" merge collector ... I looked around a lot, especially in the sponsor here.
I found one on eBay, I found many "4 in 1", but no trace of a real good solution ... Any Advises?

FrancoisP 02-14-2006 07:01 AM
