K, I am obviously missing something, buddy asks for 57 63, and he didn't get it, even though he paid for it right?

If the argument is "whats a 57 63?" thats weak, anyone who works with turbos should be able to figure out what hes talking about easily.

No offense, but since he was so vague you should have been asking questions Chris. Not saying you are in the wrong, but you can't trust people these days. They will bitch about any and everything so you have to cover your ***.

Reading owns you. It was not that big of a difference. Also the op seem to not really know what HE wanted, he change his mind a few times.

Definitely right...but I have dealt with this guy before and my mistake was #1 ASSuming and #2 attempting to help a repeat customer out. Like Joey said, most people dont know what trim or A/R actually is...they just read about it on H-T and think they need the same turbo. Hell, I did that when I bought my first turbo...fortunately I got the right turbo and its lasted me to this day.

I knew his setup, I really had NO idea he wanted a 57 Trim...I had a 57 Trim Borg Warner in stock at that point, cheaper and IN STOCK...and probably a better turbo in some circles...who knows but I did offer it to him. Then he bitches about having to wait for the Garrett turbo when I actually had a pretty equivalent turbo to the one he wanted in stock at the time...oh well.

Neither of my Garrett suppliers request a part#, the one I got for his friend was a 50 trim and thats what he asked for originally. When I tried to reorder that same turbo (as he had requested in his first email) their price had shot up almost $90 from the last time I had purchased the turbo. So I went to another supplier, told him I wanted a 50 trim with a .63 and his price wasnt much better, but he had a shipment coming in so I ordered from him. This turbo ended up being slightly different from the last turbo I had purchased. Do I blame myself, a little, do I blame the supplier...nah, not really...do I blame the customer, partly....it's certainly a shared responsibility situation but unfortunately until he made these posts and saw most of your comments, he wasnt really listening to any reason.

So it looks like he wants to buy the correct turbo now which is fine by me. I dont need to make any money so it will be at my cost. He says he is going to get some cash together and send it off for the new turbo, give me an actual part # this time and as soon as I get it in from the supplier, I plan on taking pictures, posting them here...packing it in a flat rate priority box and shipping that bitch to ISREAL! As long as it satisfies whatever fueled this outrage by him, then I'm fine.
