halo=hyped up game that never should have made it past part 1.......yea it's really challenging playin halo where accuracy doesn't really count and shyt is just stupi....but then again i perfer realistic FPS......i don't even like Unreal Tournament

its funny looking back... quake 3 arena was a deeper multiplayer game than halo 3 is. they're both nothing more than basic arcade shooters... and i mean no ---- it is better. the weapon balance is superiour to any balance in halo games. there are classic maps in it that have never had any equal in ALL the halo games combined, and while pre-ragdoll physics, the movement is absolutely impeccable.
you don't see weak modeled characters that way 1,000lbs moving like they've got a ------- helium baloon tugging them everywhere.
i liked unreal because they always pushed what you can do. halo 3 is a floaty *** bitch when you move. ho hum so dull bunny hop here bunny hop there. ---- 1999 unreal tournament you could dodge jump, double jump, wall jump, doge off a wall jump dodge jump into a double jump... and you didn't run around with some bumbfuck movement and control scheme.
so it's 2007 and yall are defending a game that uses poor phisics & movement, 2001 era graphics, a bad weapons balance, only average and below average quality maps. yeah... and people wonder why i play everything but halo 3 on a regular basis. it really is halo 2.5... doesn't look any better than ANY FPS's out of 2003 minus afew patches of water. gee halo has come so far!?
halo has not one redeeming quality about it compaired to other games of the genera.
wanna do yourself a favor? go play unreal tournament 2004, Unreal Championship, or Quake 3 Arena. all $5 xbox games. They're all vastly better than a halo title will ever be.
oh... and let's keep in mind halo is built of a game engine that's designed to only play halo. which is why the physics/movement have always been shitty, the graphics are shitty (not that i care... id rather play 5-6 year old games with some SUBSTANCE and loose alittle gfx than play a halo title), the maps are average, and the weapon balance is total trash.
let's face it... the production of a halo title takes 1/3 the staff of what a real game engine does, and they rush it out the door in literally half the time (as opposed to 3 years) to face games built from hard core game engines that DO have the staff, DO have the time, and ARE meant to be used for anything under the sun.
At it's basic level, regardless of anyone liking, or disliking halo 3. you ab so ------- lutely can not believe the fact that halo is remotely as good a game as any of the top end titles of any halo era. they're pieces of ---- rushed out the door by poor staff, and it's blatantly obvious.
