Pills will ---- you over one way or another. Either when you're taking them or when you TRY to stop taking them.
I would make sure you talk to your wife about EVERYTHING that's going on in your head so she can tell you what's right and wrong. Pills can make your mind think in very different ways.

it's psychological i think
the only pills that your body can have a chemical dependence on is oxycotin - at least that's what a couple doctors told me
vicodin/percocet as well but theres so much asprin mixed in that you'll start to actually get headaches before you're addicted chemically to them
don't quote me 100% but xanax isn't even a narcotic...
goodluck either way i've seen a lot of people including my brother get fucked royally from drugs - he's 31 years old and thinks like someone my age. It's horrible.

And yes, drugs stop mental growth. I'm 4 years old.

Sleeping pills can become addictive. Actually, just about any god damn pill can be addictive regardless of contents. Not only addictive, but also have bad withdraw symptoms. Take sertraline/zoloft for 3 months and try to quit. Chances are we will never hear from you again.
