WTF is wrong with craigslist?
 

Is there nothing but a bunch of faggot ass scammers on there? WTF is wrong with these people? I've learned not to put my phone number on there because these fucks will call you 10,000x a day asking the same stupid ------- questions and you can hardly understand them. I take my number down and now these stupid fuckers want me to call them. I keep telling these ------- retards to read the listing because it answers ALL of their questions and they keep sending the same fucked up email. I'm a craigslist noob so I don't know the scams that go around, but should I be preparred to put a bullet in one of these retards if I end up meeting them in person? I don't trust them at all and I'm getting 2 different emails, with the same last name, but different first names asking the same questions over and over and over. Is there a common scam that I don't know about? I thought it was just buyers who get scammed, not sellers? ???

Yea it's obviously a scammer. Most likely from Africa. They prey on sellers ALL the time.

Next thing you know they'll send you a certified check for more than what you are asking and ask you to send them a refund check to make up for the difference :1

Is that still going around?? Jesus, I thought that was over a long time ago. :l I've always wanted one of those checks, just to say I got one. :D I think I'm going to have them send it and act like I'm all for it. :y None of them have asked about a check yet though. Kinda weird. :l

I always wanted one of those checks to give to someone I absolutely hated. Like leave it by their cars on the ground or some ---- and then blammo! >:D I never stick my number on any ads I list up and even for most of the ads I put up. I don't get barely any spam or scammers.

Unfortunately it's only getting more and more common. If you have time to spare, it's not a bad idea to waste their time and mess with them to slow down their scamming process. If you haven't heard of it, www.419eater.com is a great website documenting scambaiters who do this. They also have a gallery of funny pictures that they made the scammers take to prove their loyalty for whatever ridiculous reason.

I had a car listed on there and got a ton of scammers trying to "buy" the car. I actually told a guy to send me the Money orders and he sent me like $3k in fake Western Union money orders. The car was listed at $1k. They were obvious fakes. I would have been laughed at if I tried to use them.

now there are a ton of scams with cars that are way too cheap, or cars that are priced right but the contact info is messed up. Plus, people make posts with weird poems at the bottom and ----, im not even sure what the scam is anymore lol

Craigslist isn't somewhere you try to sell anything. It's for buying things cheap, and giving ---- away. Put 3 day old dog ---- in the free section, and someone will come pick it up. One time I put 50 gallons of misc. house paint in the free section, none of it full gallons of any color, and I had to take the add down 10 minutes later because someone came to pick it up.
I've bought some motorcycles and other ---- off there, but one thing is for sure, I don't have anyone pick anything up or go to pick anything up without my heater. There's plenty of cases of people picking things up and robbing the seller, etc...

One time I was giving away a bunch of kids toys and this beefy latina came to pick the ---- up. She was normal, but all of a sudden it was like she couldn't wait to leave. I think when I was helping her load toys into her car she saw the gat and got scared. haha.
