well the deposit is for the trouble. That's your call. The deposit was made to ensure that the deal goes through, and it seems like he doesn't want it to go through any longer because of the length of time it's taking.

Anytime I'm working with someone on a payment plan, the first amount given is the deposit. The deposit is always non-refundable. This is because with someones deposit you are agreeing not to seek other buyers for the item. You are losing potential faster buyers, and he is securing the product. That's why the deposit is never refundable, but you have to agree on the deposit amount and the non refundable part before anything trades hands.

I say that you ship out the product after he pays for the item in full. I wouldn't refund him the money.

If he took 2 months, then you could just say, go to hell, and keep the non-refundable part.

You are being nice that you waited that long to sell it to him.
