WTF........ REFUND what is REFUND!
 
ok, chinman 72 wanted to buy a turbo back exhaust from me like two months ago. he gave me a deposit and waited for him. now he wan't his money back because i'm one week late. so i emailed him back telling him this.. is this fare?

Dude, i don't even have your address.. I don't even recall you giving it to me. which is a little my fault for not asking. i waited because you gave me a deposit and waited for almost two months. Now, when your ready to pay me and i'm taking a week longer then said i would, you wan't your money back. It doesn't work like that. If you wan't you're money back i'll refund you $50. I did have many people who are intrested in it in my area as well. And the reason why i took a little long is because i just got a dui last week. If you don't beleive me i can even fax you my release from jail. I can have it shipped out by the end of the week. Tell me what you wanna do.

i have never had any bad feed back in hmt or elsewhere. I do what i say as promissed. I bet there are many HMT people that know i stand true.

hmmmm... that's tough, 2 months waiting is a long time. But him not giving you his address doesn't help either.

Did he already pay you the remaining balance? One week late, I think that is reasonable compared to the 2 month wait.

You guys need to talk it out, somehow compensate both side for the time, i guess.

he sent me 50 then about a month later another 50. the rest has not been payed and shipping as well. which i think theres about 85 bucks remaining and shipping.

well the deposit is for the trouble. That's your call. The deposit was made to ensure that the deal goes through, and it seems like he doesn't want it to go through any longer because of the length of time it's taking.

Anytime I'm working with someone on a payment plan, the first amount given is the deposit. The deposit is always non-refundable. This is because with someones deposit you are agreeing not to seek other buyers for the item. You are losing potential faster buyers, and he is securing the product. That's why the deposit is never refundable, but you have to agree on the deposit amount and the non refundable part before anything trades hands. :-\

I say that you ship out the product after he pays for the item in full. I wouldn't refund him the money.

If he took 2 months, then you could just say, go to hell, and keep the non-refundable part.

You are being nice that you waited that long to sell it to him.

I seem to remember putting someone on the EZ-payment plan. ;)

I say the item has been reserved and it considered sold upon the final payment and until that final payment has been received, the item is to be held by the seller.
