The only machine work I had done was a hot tank and hone, but you could also do those yourself.

TT and Vitaras, you can drive it a hot minute NA until your turbo stuff comes through.
Since you have to build a bottom end you might as well pick up a D16A6 or D16Z6 so you can RUN A GOOD OIL PUMP and still check your oil, hint hint.
No, it's definitely your bag.

The crank can't be used as it sits, you'll spin more bearings. You can grind Honduh cranks but for a D16 it costs more than another crank.
All the guys making over 400 seem to run .006-.008 piston to wall but you're probably fine in the .005-.0055 range. .018 for the top ring, .022 for the second ring, golden.

Re: WTF. Happy holidays to me.
K. so I found a cheap crank kit so Im going that route but before I order it or rebuild I want the motor out so i can make sure i get the right crank. So I get all my ---- loose and apart or whatever and i get to the axels, now i busted them and had them replaced like 2 years ago while I was in school and in an apartment. Since I had no place to work on it and needed my daily back like yesterday I paid a friend to take care of it so I didnt notice this.
Since I suck I ened up ------- it up for a good hour till i had this.
Well I then chilled for a sec and realized there was like 4 different ways I could have done this so I got a different approch and pulled it out
Now im stuck cause I cant find a chain to pull the ****** out with lol.
Man those High pressure AC lines are no joke! it was quite a show. maybe next time i'll evacuate that ---- first.
