would this turbo spool good enough for me....
Ok well i havent taken a look at the turbo yet in person, but this is pretty much what the seller had to say about it.....Just how big is it? what kinda spool if any would i get on my stock block ls? Just trying to figure out if I should pick it up
Its a full T4 turbo that uses a 57trim compressor. This compressor will support 500 flywheel horsepower. Its a full garrett turbo, and is in great shape. No shaft play. The turbine side is a T4 flange, with a rather large A/R (for more top end power, race car kinda stuff, maybe nitrous). Full T4 turbine wheel. The front cover A/R is a .60. 3 inch inlet, 2 inch outlet. 4 bolt pattern discharge on the turbine, and the turbine housing is a spilt pulse entry design
Well I had him bring it over today, I can pick it up for $300, its in damn good shape, heres some pics
Now let me hear some opinions, I have a bmc t3 log mani, so i would prolly have to use an adapter plate....its plate says its a T04E

maybe with a 50 shot to spool it, the ls head doesnt flow well at all, the turbo is huge, and your motor dioesnt rev to utilize the massive top end rush that turbo would provide. i say pass.

I wouldn't listen to hotrex, hes not very optimistic. Before you count that turbo down and out I'd add a tube running from the exhaust mani to your cockpit and when you need boost, just blow into it as hard as possible. Or get a T3/T04.
