well I finally got my gm 3 bar map sensor installed and I decided to tune for the race this weekend and for daly driver at the same time.

15psi = 395.7 whp and 278.6 wtq
10psi = 344.2 whp and 218.1 wtq

nice whats your setup?

98ctr 09-27-2004 08:51 PM

Re:Woodburn here I come :)

im going to run 10 psi for the most of the day so I don't brake into 11's cuz I don't have a cage yet. ;D
But im going to bump it up to 15 for the last few runs and see if I can get one verry good run. Hoping low 11's at 15 psi. But I only get one chance if I brake into 11's. ;)

Re:Woodburn here I come :)

Nice man. I really like your car. Very clean, and makes some serious #'s.

If I were in your shoes, Id make a few runs on 15psi at the track to get the feel of it, but let off early.
Then when your ass dyno says 'Yeah, that was a ------- nice launch...', run it all the way. :)

I know Josh told me, but what cams are in there? What cam settings did it like?
Your non dumping TQ curve is sexy.

Looks like the dyno 02 was reading leaner than actual on your car as well. You have a cat? or does it do that on all cars on that dyno?

I still cant get over how much timing that thing likes. You must burn 0 oil.

Big thumbs up!

Damn nice #'s steph, did you get a new turbo?

We just started working on leia's cage tonite, big pain in the ass. Atleast she'll be able to do a few runs unlike you! your gonna get kicked out first run man, lol.. Hope to see you there this weekend.

Re:Woodburn here I come :)

yea I hope I can get at least a few run in. same turbo, but I did made a new 3" exhaust and got an msd 6a box. I was thinking about getting a cage, but im running short on time and finances. well see you there Jeff.

PS: are you guys leaving Fri or Sat morning??? cuz we are leaving Fri night after trafic dies down. 98ctr

Im running CTR cams, but the torque curve is like that because of some boost creep. At about 7.5 k rpm the boost starts creeping up about .5 psi every .5 k rpm so the boost increases the torque seem not to die.

I still did not mess with cam gear timing, its still at 0.

The o2 was reading leaner then my AEM wideband so im actually running in the 11:1 range for air/fuel.

yeah cept he was stuck on the side of i-5 by PIR in oregon most of the day, Pats car died. The h22 kept blowing couplers, and yes there was an 11.6 in there. Also that CRX they had pulled a 9.9

leed 10-02-2004 09:06 PM

Re:Woodburn here I come :)

Damn, that sucks about Pat. Hope his incident didnt include new breather holes in the block. :-\

11.6 for Steph, HOT DAM!! Nice friggen work.
And if it was Beaus CRX that ran the 9.9, thats ------- awsome!
I hope the H22 got some clean runs in. :)

Im dyning to know the official times for everyone....someone post that ---- up!

no Beau hit a 10.6 and apparently a 1.2 60 foot. The CRX was the same shop that did Steph's, or had the same logo's on it.

H22 didn't fair well, 12.3 tops I think. Problems with couplers. Home Depot is gay.

Pat figured his issue out, dead ignitor and no filter on the walbro pump.

Re:Woodburn here I come :)

I got back about one hr ago.

I got 6th place in the bracket racing for the 13.99 and faster class. I got elimminated about half way through because I was going for 12.01 and I got an 11.997, so that was it for brackets. Then my friend Wade Segawa wanted to run one more time just for fun and I wanted to see if they will still let me run again since I broke out into the 11's with no roll bar.

So we line up tougherter Wade and I, I do my burnout and so does he, I prestage then he prestages, he stages first and then I stage. Off the line I go and the I dont' see him, but thats because we were still running brackets and he was wating for the green light. Half way through my run I hear him comming and by the end of the run he passed me like I was standing still. wow :o

He ran a 9.992 and I ran an 11.620, we both got kicked out since he does NOT have his NHRA lic and I dont' have a roll bar ;D

Leia and Jeff were there having a good time, and I finally got to spend some more time talking to them, since I never make it up to the NORTH side for any meets. 98ctr

yeah he lined up to do a run and did a fat 2nd gear burnout (Jeff driving this time) and the left lower pipe shot off the car. Guy at the light tree was like "Is he still okay to go like that?" hahaha yeah right.

Luckily, Alec had a chunk of 2.5" heavy duty napa hose to replace the coupler that had a hole in it, to get em up and moving home again.

Re:Woodburn here I come :)

Damn. I was really looking forward to seeing Leias EK bust into the 11's. After the street tune at 15psi, there was no doubt in my mind that it could do it.
Good to hear that Pats problem was a small one, and nothing major :)

Whats the setup on the 9.9 CRX?
ohhh, and thumbs up to both you guys for getting the 'your too fast' boot, haha

When they do that, is it just for the night? Like, they won't see you the next weekend and ban you from racing, will they?

I am pretty sure its just for that day. If you came back the next day I am sure they'd let you run, and just boot you out again.

I belive they keep track of your car number and your name. If you do comeback they will not let you race untill your car passes tech. 98ctr

The techguy at woodburn was a complete fag too, He was ripping beau and leias car apart :(

Lots of little changes have to be made to the cars for next year.

there are a bunch of little things that they can catch you on.

Seat belt has to be installed a cartain way.

Window net has to be easylly removable.

The seat its also required to be supported to the roll cage.

Seat belt has to have tabs welded to the roll cage so the belt goes through.

Small stuff that they can get you on if they have a corn cob up their ass.

everytime i go to woodburn i have problems while in tech, but all my friends get in no problem. Same thing happens at PIR. I think i am just cursed, or people in tech love to hate me or something?

When you have a slow car they dont care :P

Oh another one that I thought was funny was the manual oil pressure gauge. He didnt like that. Same reason you got kicked off at Mission dave.

The one rule that is really gay is the seat back needs to be attached to the backside of the cross bar off the main hoop, reguardless if the seat is certified. :-\

Re:Woodburn here I come :)

at pacific raceways I got hit with the battery kill switch. I had my battery relocated in the trunk and they told me that i have to have a battery kill switch and a battery box. even I if I had the little 5"x3" motorcycle battery and its a dry cell, they did not care. So instead of getting the gay ass switch in the back of the bumper I just put my battery back up front.
