Bush and his top advisers have defended the program, which allowed the highly secretive agency to eavesdrop without court approval on international calls and e-mails of people who were inside the United States and suspected of communicating with Al Qaeda or its affiliates.

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport passenger lounge
in Bozeman, Montana, awaiting their flights. One is an American Indian
passing through from Lame Deer. Another is a Cowboy on his way to
Billings for a rodeo and the third passenger is a fundamentalist Arab
student, newly arrived at Montana State University from the Middle East.
Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two
Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim
and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull.
The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine
table
and tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face. The wind
outside
is blowing tumbleweeds around, and the old windsock is flapping; but
still
no plane comes
Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and softly he speaks, "At
one time here, my people were many, but sadly, now we are few."
The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people
were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?"
The Montana cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his mouth and
from
the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a drawl, "That's 'cause we ain't
played Cowboys and Muslims yet, but I do believe it's a-comin'."

if it was for international calls only.. then what the ---- is the big fuss about? why the ---- didnt the white house publicly say this in the beginning? why didnt bush say this in the beginning.. if its calls to and from known terrorist then why the ---- is this even causing this much fuss?
eitherway. thease are all new articles which came out today.. i made my points based on previous info. not old info.. but info that was available at the time.
wire taps on people receiving or making calls to or from known terrorist are justified.. but they shouldnt have had a problem getting warrants. they have a secret court setup for that.. and they still didnt use it...

i misread the article. i suck
how are they loosing the source of information for saying they just spy on foreign calls? it was already out.. they wouldnt have ruined anything by saying it was international calls only.. wiretaps have been arround for how long now johnny? no one is stupid... everyone knows emails can be intercepted and that calls can be tapped.. this isnt new info.. its been arround for quite a while now.
