I went from 225/50/15's lowered 1.5" to a 205/40/17 for my hatchback...no rubbing on either set, and they're almost the same height. The 17's are a hair thinner though, could probably squeeze a little more if i wanted to.

I put a 275/35/18 under my crx, too bad it was just under there for "support". I guess this response is pretty useless
