Re: wich way dose the b18b spin?????

Start one up, and have someone shut it off while you're looking at the tbelt/crank pulley and find out.

Re: wich way dose the b18b spin?????

Better yet, stick your hand in the timing belt when it's running. Best way to find out, and I'll guarantee you'll never forget.

No matter how many times you ask, it still spins the same way as your tires.

the good thing about honda is (from what i believe) is that the motors rotate counter-clockwise, which throws the weight forward, working with the momentum of the vehicle, instead of against it.

Then it will still spin CCW and tyhe ring gear in the differential would have to be on the right side instead of the left smarty smartikins. :1

any transverse engine spins towards the front, no matter which side the engine is on.

If that's the case, why does my motor tweak backwards in my engine bay when I rev it? For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction...therefore, motor spins counter-clockwise, force is applied clock-wise...or toward the rear of the car, not toward the front like you say :4

I have found mis-information many times in honda tuning mag. Hell, just look at the older articles written by Greg Leone...case in point. :P

Think a little more, maybe if you're talking about from the top of the engine pistons are throwing their weight forward, but from the bottom they're throwing their weight backward.

Counter-clockwise. Just looking at the tensioner setup will tell you as well. Hell, putting the motor at its various #1 TDC marks and taking a gander at the cam lobe positions (intake vs exh.) will work too.

Yeah, but what comes first, intake or exhaust? :1 Also, which side is intake and which side is exhaust? :S :1 What's a cam lobe? What is this "TDC" you speak of? :1

Making mistakes is normal, I make mistakes all the time....what I DONT do is pick up an Issue of H-T and go talk like I'm a mechanic. You learn from Car mags? Good......Keep it in your ------- head. And then get a rope, then put the Rope AROUND your head, Tie it off to something high, and Jump.
