Why so many scamer on HMT now?
Well Iam getting tired of seeing people getting ripped off on HMT and if I was local to any of these scammers I would help a fellow HMTer by whatever mean possible. Iam in Central Florida area if anyone has any problems in this area feel free to contact me. After reading the rules for the For Sale section I realize there arn't really any rules to protect HMTers. I feel sellers should be "approved" first before they are allowed to list in For Sale section. They should be approved based on vouches from any other means of selling or a personal vouch from a reputable person on HMT. A person should only be able to post For Sell items if they can provide a valid physical address and phone number(not cell) that is verifable through a site like www.whitepages.com . Well this is my little rant and a few ideas to protect fellow HMTers, feel free to offer more ideas to protect fellow HMT buyers and hopefully we can get the For Sale section back on track. I say post if you think these or other rules should be put in place to help protect us all. Speak up or shut it when you get ripped off.

name, phone number, vouchs, location should all be included in every for sale post. no matter who it is. the same rules apply for everyone.
and on the cell phone issue, some people only have cells. if the person posts the number, the person buying can call it an verify it.
i agree though. and it kinda sucks.

I personally would not do business with someone that I couldnt go and check out the item personally if I lived in their area. ---- you should have the person home address and talk to them a bit on the phone. ---- when I sold my laptop to Kevin/Projekteg I was on the phone with him for a good 30minutes or more shooting the ---- and giving him any information he wanted/needed along the way.
Maybe the For Sale post should be form based where there is certian information that is required to post before the item is posted, such as:
Full Name:
Physical Address:
Phone Numbers:
Vouches:
Your Mom's Phone Number: So I can tell her your a thief if you rip me off. :P
