I dont understand why people get mad at Paypal...they should pay because you chose to buy from someone who ended up scamming you?

At least they tried to recover and will continue to try and recover your funds without you having to do anything else...

Ya cant expect paypal to refund everyone over stuff like this. Its just the world. There are tools out there. I like the fact when I open my paypal it still shows open disputes and it was from 2004 LOL

I dunno, while I agree with you, Paypal makes what.......$100,000,000,000,000,000 a year with their 3%, $0.50 fee per transaction. I think they should be liable for at least part of the refund since the scam was done using their service. Why is there no guarentee? They say it's a safe and secure way to send money, but it's not. What kind of service are they offering? How is it a safe way to transfer money? Why aren't they liable for ANYTHING? If I put my money into my bank and I wire money to someone, is my money safe? If somehow, someway the money gets "lost" on the way, who is responsible? If I buy a TV from Circuit City and the store employye runs off with my $2000 as I hand it to him, who is resposible for that? ---- Paypal.

on one hand, yeah they make alot of money so yeah they should cover some of it maybe, but honestly they have to obligation to do so... Its just like UPS or Fedex...they offer money back guarantees for a fee if you use them, just like ups and fedex offer insurance. If you don't use it on the transaction, thats your choice really.

Then you also have to think, they are really doing more than they have to. They are a service to transfer money from one person to another, and offering the dispute services and all that is nothing more than extra features.

Bottom line, you can't really get mad at paypal. You have the choice to use their services and they lay every detail of there policies and procedures out there for you to see before you choose to use it, so if you use it...thats your risk that a risk you took on your own will.

UPS(not sure about the others) offers insurance up to $100 per item for free. Why doesn't Paypal? What are they offering though? They have everyone by the balls because they just sit back and pocket all this money and don't guraentee ----. You might as well have thorwn your money into a slot machine everytime you send/receive money with paypal. If someone pays you with a stolen credit card and you ship the item, Paypal will take the money out of YOUR account. How is it your fault? They're the ones that accepted the credit card. What did you do wrong to get screwed? If you pay someone and they never send the item, YOU get screwed. At what point is Paypal liable for ANY of this?? I don't think any of the dispute options are "extra". I think every company should have customer service that takes care of shitty transactions, don't you? When I go to the grocery store they have a service desk up front that usually has nobody waiting in line and I can walk right up and bitch. When i go to Wal-mart the first thing I see is the service desk where I can take my ---- back NO QUESTIONS ASKED and get a full refund if I'm not satisfied with a product. Is it Wal-Marts fault that my George Foreman grill was busted to ----? Should I have to eat it? Where does Paypals customer service jump into action? What do they ever have to eat?

Telling it like it is. :6 My boss usually buys us lunch whenever we go out, but I don't expect it and if I have to pay for my own lunch I don't bitch. If you count all the times he's paid for lunch in a year on my W2 I'd probably end up making $5,000 more a year. :S
