when i was an all motor d. i just smash the gas and when im about to shift. hold down on the gas and pop the clutch and shift. its not so fun when your ---- is slow as ---- like mine was/is. when your doing it in a car with a swap. its fun because u can actually feel it pull. u did pretty good though. 80 mph. ---- i only did 89 with a stock b20 in an eg

bigmike, whats up dood, havent talked to you since daytona. took my car out to the track last week actually and i managed a 14.9@97 at 8psi. needs a new EGR valve now cuz it misses pretty bad at full boost at 14psi, but then i think ill be down to about 14.2ish. heres a pic of the slip if ya wanna take a look http://hooksh.bobflash.com/timeslip.jpg

hey whats up travis doing good on ur "old" car there. you still going june 19th? hopefully ill be turbo
by then ive already started to accumulate parts. did u sell the delslow yet?

iam pushing this thing to redline everytime so this is the limit of my current "setup", if i can call it that.
i have to work on my launch and get a tach, i can just burn up this stock clutch i got for $25 to help
too. think i should have changed my flywheel(396,000miles) when i got my engine and clutch, my
clutch doesnt engage until the top, and iam sure the hydrolic ones are auto adjust so i think i just dont
have enough "beef" on the flywheel

yeah i thought i might fell like a retard but there are worse people out there like stock automatic civics
and jeep suv's but i have the excuse iam getting base times until i go turbo since iam repping the Hmt
on my side window. it actually was pretty fun since i was trying to beat my own times. but i did beat
my friend in his ka24de nissian truck that said he ran 15.? something. ----------er messed up his
truck i was looking at his new k&n setup, he had a vacume line dissconected and the air temp sensor
harness was broken off. gotta love when people "try" to work on there car

Um hooksh, with that trap speed, and your shitty 60 foots, if you cna get them donw to a decent 2.2 or 2.3, you could easily run a 14.5 or better. So with 14 psi, i would see 13's with proper launch.

thats alot of miles on your engine, holy ----. but yeah, try boggin your car a bit off the line to maintain traction.

I still wonder how in the world I pulled a 18.0 sec 1/4 in my old 94 Taurus GL, but had a trapspeed of 89MPH, im still like WTF??

Re:Why I need turbo, Went to 1/4 track tonight!

Well ive seen some really shitty cars at the track... way slower than my accord. I went yesterday and pulled a 16.2 which is slow but its not boosted yet(88 accord lxi, thats fast for an N/A accord) but managed 2.3 60 foot spinning the tires 1/2way thru first. The car went from 2.6 60 ft times to 2.3 by airing down the tires to about 23 psi and dumping it at 2800 rpm, so getting the launch down can SERIOUSLY improve your times with any car
